Dornbirn-GFC 2020, scheduled for September this year, was postponed to 2021 as part of coronavirus measures. Following the cancellation of Dornbirn-GFC 2020, officials made the following statements: “This decision was very difficult for us and we regret it very much. Due to the impact of COVID-19 there will be no possibility to conduct the congress in its usual form this year. The travel restrictions and the extraordinary economic situation complicate the planning of events. The health aspect and the safety of our visitors are in the foreground of our decision. 1st Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress (Dornbirn-Gfc) Asia to be held in 3-4 Mar 2020  in Daegu, South Korea. A close partnership between the Austrian Fibers Institute and KOFOTI as well as DYETEC from Korea enables to arrange the 1st Dornbirn-GFC congress for the Asian market. Around 300 till 400 participants from the whole textile chain will be expected to join this special event. An agreement on this cooperation has been signed by October 21st, 2019 in Porto/Portugal.
