In light of the current coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, ITMA ASIA + CITME 2020 has been rescheduled, despite receiving strong response from exhibitors. Originally slated to be held in October, the combined show will now take place from 12 to 16 June 2021 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC), Shanghai. Groz-Beckert Welcomes Over 4,000 Visitors to ITMA Asia

The sixth ITMA Asia + CITME in Shanghai, China, was extremely successful for Groz-Beckert. Over the five days of the trade fair in October 2018, the company welcomed over 4,000 international customers and partners to its booth. Around three quarters of the customers at the Groz-Beckert booth came from China, followed by guests from Japan, India and South Korea. With its 1,733 exhibitors from 28 countries, the trade fair attracted more than 100,000 visitors in total. Groz-Beckert was represented with all six product areas – Knitting, Weaving, Felting, Tufting, Carding and Sewing – and presented new transparent insights. Strong attendance affirms combined show’s industry-leading position in the region. ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018, the region’s leading textile machinery exhibition, ended successfully after five days of exciting product demonstrations and business networking. The sixth combined exhibition welcomed visitorship of over 100,000 from 116 countries and regions, with an increase of 10 per cent from domestic visitors compared to the 2016 show. About 20 per cent of the visitors came from outside of China. Of the overseas participants, Indian visitors top the list, reflecting the strong growth of its textile industry. The new national government-organised China International Import Expo (CIIE), to be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in November, has necessitated the need for long-term renovation of halls at the fairground, requiring Yarn Expo Autumn 2018 to be held one month later, and concurrent with ITMA ASIA + CITME, from 15 – 17 October. The scale and importance of CIIE – an initiative launched personally by Chinese President Xi Jinping at a Belt & Road Forum in 2017, and hosted by the country’s Ministry of Commerce – has necessitated the renovation of three halls at the National Exhibition and Convention Center for a period of two months starting in early September.
