A new research project at the Hohenstein Group deals with antimicrobial effects of Lewis acids that are applied on textile surfaces. Results of this work may significantly contribute to countermeasures against multi-resistant bacteria as found, for example, in medical facilities.
Many areas of everyday and professional life require antimicrobial protection. Such an effect on textile surfaces is currently achieved by utilization of silver or ammonium containing compounds. However, the use of such compounds is questionable with respect to possible adverse ecological and toxicological effects. In addition, these compounds are generally expensive.

R+F will present the latest generation of TURBO rings and enhanced ring travellers at ITM 2018
Turbo rings and enhanced ring travellers manufactured from first-class hardened 100Cr6 steel, the ring is hard chrome-plated at our own ultra modern coating company using the latest technology, and additionally receives a final finish. The Turbo ring is flexible in use and stands for maximum productivity, the highest yarn quality and a long life cycle.
The special feature lies in the precision, the absolutely low tolerance of the ring profile and the coating. The special characteristic of the R+F hard chrome surface combines optimal lubrication with extremely low wear. This results in extremely long service lives at maximum spindle speeds. The Turbo high-speed ring sets new standards in...
The Dornbirn Man-Made Fibers Congress (Dornbirn-MFC), with more than 100 expert presentations to be carried out, will shed light on the developments taking place within the fiber industry.
Dornbirn-MFC, being one of the most influential organizations with respect to the man-made fibers industry will be introducing the innovative and ecological production methods taking place within the industry.
Each year the Dornbirn-MFC hosts more than 700 participants from more than 30 nations; 80% from Europe, 15% from Asia, and 5% from America. Incoming registrations seem to suggest that the number of participants will even be slightly higher in 2017. More than 100 expert presentations will be covering the fields consisting of; fiber innovations, fibers, textiles and nonwovens for healthcare an
The way to shorten the process process is Trützschler Draw Frame IDF
There is no easier way to earn money than through process reduction. Machines that are not needed require no investment and no operating costs. This applies to draw frames in rotor spinning. In modern rotor spinning, conventional draw frames are not necessary.
In connection with the Integrated Draw Frame IDF, thousands of Trützschler cards successfully produce high-quality slivers for rotor spinning. The advantages in terms of quality and economic efficiency are well known.
These;
Improved yarn quality and product quality
Improved running behaviour of the rotor spinning machines
Significantly reduced space requirement
Savings in energy costs
Less cans and reduced personnel requirement

The Slovakian Company SCA Gemerská Hôrka enhanced its production lines with the installation of the four-colour TRESU flexo printing units featuring F10 iCon automated ink supply systems. The company reported a ‘step change’ in quality, safety and process efficiency improvements, after installing the new TRESU printing units.
Replacing offline single printing units with an ‘open’ ink supply and chamber, the new TRESU printing units integrate into the production lines, enabling SCA to manufacture its products and apply brand identification graphics, in a single pass for the first time. Featuring two printing chambers, the printing units handle non-woven liner products between 85mm and 300mm wide, using water-based inks. The TRESU printing units with F10 iCon supply system were
EcoWipes invests in innovative and sustainable hydroentangled nonwoven technology from Trützschler and Voith. EcoWipes is a young, innovative company that has become a leading manufacturer and converter of private label products for the hydroentangled nonwoven segment.
The firm, which is located to the north of Warsaw, was established in 2009 and has now already ordered its third nonwovens production line. EcoWipes has a strong focus on innovation and sustainability and intensively monitors local and global market trends. In view of the rising consumer interest in biodegradable materials, EcoWipes opt for partners Trützschler Nonwovens and Voith to supply the new production line. The progressive and sustainable WLS (wet-laid spunlacing) concept developed by the two companies for manufa
Since the launch of the new Qualitex 800 visualization system for the advanced Montex 8500 stenter, it has met the highest acceptance and appreciation by textile machine operators and mill managers worldwide due to its intuitive and easy operation.
Due to the overwhelming success and as a further step towards harmonization, Monforts has now launched this ‘child play’ machine operation tool for all its continuous dyeing ranges (Thermex) and Sanfor compressive shrinking ranges (Monfortex), as well as for all coating units (texCoat).
